Five Michigan Pasty Shops That Aren't to be Missed

Travelling to Michigan's U.P. wouldn't be complete without a pasty stop. These five Michigan pasty shops have been ranked in USA Today's 10 Best Pasty Shops in Michigan (and we can't help but agree - they're amazing!).

1. Connie's Kitchen in Calumet, Michigan

This cozy little restaurant in Michigan's U.P. is known for their daily soup specials and, of course, for their delicious meat pasties. Their quaint atmosphere and fabulous, filling food is sure to please even the pickiest pasty lover!
2. Lawry's Pasty Shop in Marquette, Michigan

"Love baked in every bite," is the Lawry's Pasty Shop motto, and you can see why. Their pasty shop in Marquette is actually their second location - the first opened in Ipsheming in 1946 - and now they produce pasties for locals and pasty-fans nationwide with their shipping service.
3. Lehto's Pasties in St. Ignace, Michigan

Lehto's Pasties is a U.P. tradition for many, with their iconic storefront that's been open to hungry customers since 1947. Lehto's Pasties views the pasty as a cultural mark of Michigan's Upper Penninsula, and they're proud to be part of the tradition. Like Lawry's, Lehto's also ships their pasties for those of us who can't make it to St. Ignace for a freshly baked batch.
4. Muldoon's Pasties & Gifts in Munising, Michigan

Muldoon's Pasties & Gifts is renowned for their Cornish pasty, which has won several awards. Their shop and kitchen - located in a small yellow house off the highway - specializes in a variety of pasties as well as locally sourced, Michigan-themed gifts.
5. Pasty Central in Kearsarge, Michigan

Pasty Central ships and sells their pasties all over Michigan, and one of their primary restaurants is The Hut Inn in Calumet, Michigan. Their pasties come in several different flavors, and they ship them nationwide by the frozen dozen. Their website is especially unique, with a pasty cam, links to local U.P. radio stations, and a guest gallery.
